Study Coordinator

Claire is the Study Coordinator at THIS Institute, providing research governance oversight and support across different projects.

Claire is a registered adult nurse with several years clinical research experience in both hospital and university environments. She most recently worked as a Senior Lecturer in Adult nursing, teaching across pre and post registration research modules. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Research Nurse at the Institute of Metabolic Science, where she was responsible for coordinating a variety of clinical studies and took the lead on several ethical applications.

Claire has a Master’s in clinical research from Newcastle University and has led on and been involved in nurse led qualitative studies, most recently looking at the experiences of student nurses in the pandemic. Claire has recently been appointed as an HRA Research Ethics Committee (REC) expert member.
