Natalie Richards

Research Assistant

Natalie is a Research Assistant working on a variety of healthcare improvement research projects. 

Natalie holds a BSc in Natural Sciences from Lancaster University, and an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Nottingham. Prior to joining THIS Institute, Natalie was a Research Assistant at NHS Improvement, where she conducted research and evaluation into quality improvement programmes for NHS staff. More recently, Natalie worked part-time as an Assistant Psychologist in a cancer service at Essex Partnership University NHS Trust.

Research Interests

Natalie is interested in the social determinants of health and illness, particularly in the field of mental health. Her work currently focuses on how physical health problems are diagnosed when people have a mental health condition.
