Professor Yoryos Lyratzopoulos
Healthcare Epidemiologist
Yoryos is a healthcare epidemiologist with background in clinical (internal) medicine.
In recent years, he has specialised in studies examining patient and organisational variation in measure and markers of cancer care quality (including diagnostic activity, markers early/late diagnosis and patient experience). He is Professor of Cancer Epidemiology at University College London, but works part-time in Cambridge, chiefly on projects relating to his Cancer Research UK Advanced Clinician Scientist Fellowship. He has previously worked for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence as consultant clinical adviser to the interventional procedures programme and NHS England (specialised commissioning).
Research Interests
Yoryos’ research interests are in cancer diagnosis, cancer patient experience and organisational variation.
