Ellen is a Research Assistant at THIS Institute working on a range of healthcare quality improvement projects.
Ellen has an MPhil in Health, Medicine and Society from the University of Cambridge. In this interdisciplinary master’s course, Ellen utilised mixed-methods research to examine the development of reproductive technologies and the conditions of possibility that enable a reproductive technology to become used worldwide.
At THIS, Ellen is working on the complex national programmes project to develop a framework for decision-makers to help with designing large-scale programmes in the NHS, and the digital scribes project which is looking at if artificial intelligence can save general practitioners time in primary care settings.
Before joining THIS, Ellen was working in a consultancy team specialising in health policy and public affairs. This included writing policy reports on a range of health issues, bringing together diverse stakeholders to find consensus on technical access issues, and providing tailored policy and political analysis on a daily basis.
