Will is Director of Improvement at the Health Foundation, responsible for its work to support healthcare improvement. This involves funding teams to test, evaluate and spread improvement, and building leadership and quality improvement capability across the UK. As well as open-call grant programmes and fellowships, current initiatives include Q, a partnership with NHS Improvement to develop a community of people across the UK skilled in quality improvement, and THIS Institute.
Will was previously Forum Director for the World Innovation Summit for Health, and Operational Director at the Centre for Health Policy in the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London. Prior to this, Will was the Head of Operations for Women’s and Children’s services at St. Mary’s Hospital and Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospitals, where he also undertook GenerationQ, a postgraduate fellowship in leadership and quality improvement in healthcare.
