Looking for a free resource for children coming into hospital?
Designed to support young patients entering the hospital environment for the first time, Coming to Hospital: A guide to what goes on was described by children and their families as reassuring, informative and well-presented. The accompanying study showed that 53 out of 72 children reported feeling calmer or happier after receiving the leaflet.
A team of researchers, clinical staff, children, and their families worked together to create the resource. This was done as part of an academic-enterprise partnership with Usborne, who contributed publishing expertise and is providing copies of the leaflet for free.
