Clare Leong is a Wellcome Clinical PhD Fellow at THIS Institute and a specialist registrar in infectious diseases at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Clare graduated at the top of her class with an MB BChir from the University of Cambridge in 2014. She also holds a BA (Hons) 1st class degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Cambridge, and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
Clare began working with THIS Institute as an Academic Clinical Fellow in 2021, combining research activities with her ongoing clinical training, and was successfully appointed to the Wellcome PhD Programme for Health Professionals in 2023.
