Wezzie is a Project Manager at THIS Institute and is responsible for the day-to day project management of a range of research projects in our portfolio.
She joined THIS in October 2023 following an extended project management career in Africa. Prior to joining THIS, Wezzie has worked in the project management field for 12 years, leading the development, planning and delivery of programmes and projects across different fields.
A significant part of Wezzie’s career prior to THIS was spent as a Programme Coordinator at the Norwegian Church Aid in Malawi, responsible for leading teams in managing a wide range of national wide health and gender related projects. She also contributed towards thematic policies, strategies, operational plans, and led the gender and social analyses of partner organizations, including numerous gender assessments/GAPs, feasibility studies, and capacity building for staff.
Wezzie has an MSc in International Development from the University of Bath, and a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences from the University of Malawi. She has previously held a Project Manager role at DanChurchAid, a Danish based development aid organisation amongst other potifolios.
